About the event
Martin Ranch Winery in Gilroy, California is welcoming you to Beekeeping at the ranch! They will be opening their private gardens for a fun, cozy morning dedicated to the wonderful world of bees. Bring your curiosity and love for honey, while enjoying J.D.Hurley freshly brewed coffee, fresh pastries, and fascinating stories about the winery’s busy little bees.
After your hive tour, enjoy a guided tasting featuring fresh Martin Ranch honey sampled directly from the frame, along with three to four distinctive honey varieties from Arthur and Christine of Koophaus Apiaries, including wildflower, whiskey-infused, creamed, and orange blossom. You'll discover how each develops its own unique flavor and character. As a thank you for joining us, you'll also take home a few special event gifts to remember your morning at the ranch.
