5-Frame Nuc Hive (2026)

Congratulations on bee-ginning your new hive!

New beekeepers, please refer to our FAQ section with tips and links to prepare for your new colony of honey bees.

On the day you will come to collect your nuc, you will need to have:

• 1 Bee suit with veil and gloves
• 1 Deep frame box, either 8 or 10 frame
• 1 Hive cover (We strongly recommend using an inner cover with telescoping outer cover)
• 1 Bottom board
• 1 Sugar syrup feeder
• 1 Smoker with fuel
• 1 Hive tool
• 1 Hive stand

Preparation: Bees need to be installed immediately in their new home. Select an appropriate site, have all hive equipment set-up beforehand, check local beekeeping codes, prepare sugar syrup and try out your suit.

We cannot be responsible for any incident that could occur during their transportation.

Weather: The pick up days are highly dependent on good weather! 

• Payment: Full Payment is due when your order is placed.
• Cancellations: Nuc hive orders canceled before March 10th will be refunded the purchase price minus a $20 fee per package or nuc. If canceling after March 11th, then no refund will be made UNLESS we can resell the package or nuc.
• Returns & Refunds: There are no returns or refunds once the customer accepts the nuc(s). The customer understands and acknowledges that bees and nucs are living creatures and are perishable. KoopHaus Apiaries will not be responsible or liable for loss of bees or nucs due to overheating once they are received by the customer. It is the responsibility and duty of the customer to ensure that packages and nucs are kept cool and out of direct sun until they are installed in hives.
• Weather: The pick up days are highly dependent on good weather! In case we have to modify the pick up date for reasons beyond our control, we will notify you by email.
• Preparation: Bees need to be installed immediately in their new home. Select an appropriate site, have all hive equipment set-up beforehand,check local beekeeping codes, prepare sugar syrup and try out your suit. Please refer to our FAQ's.
• More Preparation: On your selected day pick up times will be early morning to ensure the safety of the bees.  
• All Covid-19 safety protocols will be followed!
• Bees are living creatures and highly perishable if not treated properly during transportation to your location and during installation. KoopHaus will not be responsible or liable for loss of bees or nucs due to overheating once they are received by the customer. It is the responsibility and duty of the customer to ensure that bees and nucs are kept cool and out of direct sun until they are installed in hives.
