The next generation of Whiskey barrel-aged honey is aged in a peated barrel which will give the honey a bolder and smokier flavor profile to our already delicious Whiskey Barrel aged Honey.  It has been aged for 3+ months like the original.   The process begins by aging raw honey inside an oak barrel that previously held whiskey. The peated barrel was used in a finishing process for whiskey.  Like the process for whiskey, the flavor from the peated barrel gives complexity and vanilla notes to the Honey.

 

The result is a honey that is rich in complexity, blending sweet, oaky, and smoky notes with a smooth, lingering depth of flavor from the whiskey. Perfect for adding depth to cocktails, drizzling over desserts, or savoring on its own.

 

Flavor profile: butterscotch, vanilla, smoke and oak.

  • Warming honey helps with pouring.  You can place bottle in hot water for a few minutes or pop an open bottle in the microwave for 15 seconds.  Repeat a few seconds at a time until honey is fluid enough to pour.  

     

    Serve over ice cream, in tea, or in your favorite cocktail.
